What is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy is clean, sustainable energy that's derived from naturally regenerating sources such as solar and wind. It is an industry that is booming, as innovation is drastically cutting costs to help deliver the promise of a clean energy future.

Natural resources have the potential to create far more energy than the world currently requires. And with climate change initiatives and increased funding, renewables could provide 65% of the world's total electricity supply by 2030 and decarbonise 90% of the power sector by 2050.

The science is clear: To avoid the worst impacts of climate change, emissions must be reduced by almost half by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. And to achieve this, we need a diverse and flexible mix of energy solutions.

Onshore Wind

Representing one of the most cost-effective and efficient renewable energy technologies, onshore wind is a clean, safe, and reliable way of generating electricity that, once all infrastructure is put in place, produces no greenhouse gas emissions.

Solar power has been outlined as a key player in the global shift to carbon neutrality. In Europe alone, solar power soared by almost 50% in 2022. Offshore Wind

To mitigate climate change, many countries around the globe are investing in offshore wind to restructure their power generation mix.
