At Gibson Watts we were always aware of the growing demands for recruitment and executive search services. However, over the past few months, we are delighted to say that company’s rate of growth has far outweighed our expectations. We’ve seen a growth of 500% from 2021, which is 140% above our target for 2022.
On this positive note, there are several updates and milestones to share, the first one being the inclusion of our CEO Anne O’Donnell, who has been selected to be amongst the 10 Most Empowering Women in Business, alongside many other inspiring women. The award celebrates women doing great things in business and leading their organisations with a focus on innovation and inclusivity. You can read a digital version of the magazine here.
Anne says:
“Ever since starting my first business, it's always been a top priority for me to empower and inspire all members of my team and to create an environment of inclusivity within the workplace culture.
Alongside this, I’ve always believed in taking a risk to be able to adapt to the changing business environment. That’s why, during Covid, the decision was made to set up a recruitment division in Procorre. Despite being aware of the opportunities this could bring the company; we were also aware of the substantial risk. However, it has turned out to be the right decision as we are now working with some of the industries leading organisations in our sector.
Alongside this accolade, we are delighted to announce that Gibson Watts will expand its team into the US. The new headquarters will be based in Boston, This is something that has been in the pipeline for a while, and now seems like the perfect time as our client base in the country continues to grow.
Anne says:
“Expanding into America is the next logical step for the business, as an increasing amount of our time is spent serving those clients and doing business in the states. Just like our offices in London and Bristol, we will offer hybrid options, and the Boston office will provide our staff with a thriving working environment.”
In other news, we are excited to be attending the Select USA investor conference as part of the UK delegation, this will give us the opportunity to network and engage with industry experts as well as gain an insight into how to structure a new business in the US. The conference being held in Washington has informative sessions not only on how to develop a business, leading to further growth and investment but also on renewable energy and ongoing innovations. Our CEO Anne O’Donnell and leading Director Lee Hudson are holding several meetings with a number of key individuals and potential clients, and we are very much looking forward to increasing our knowledge of the market over the four days.
It has been an amazing year for Gibson Watts so far, and we’re excited to see the organisation continue to grow and expand its reach into the US and further.
